1. Add shine to your nails by massaging coconut oil or warm castor oil onto them. Be sure to work the cuticles too as this will help prevent dryness.
2. Apply dry soap to your nails and buff for a finish similar to nail polish.
3. To clean cuticles and nails, put your fingertips in half a lemon and twist your finger back and forth. You can also scrub them with a nailbrush dipped in baking soda.
4. Mix two parts-each of salt and sactor oil and one part wheat germ oil. Rub into the nails and leave on for three minutes before wiping off. This will help strengthen nails and add shine.
5. To whiten yellow-ish nails, mix one part lemon juice and one part baking soda. Apply a small dot of the paste on the nail and gently buff then wash your hands. You can also scrub with toothpaste or soak nails in a lemon and water mixture.
